Ingredients:
- 1 lb sushi-grade Ahi tuna, cut into ½-inch cubes
- 1 large ripe avocado, cubed
- 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp sriracha
Instructions:
- Ensure Ahi tuna is ice-cold. Slice the tuna into ¼-inch planks, then into ½-inch cubes. Place cubes into a chilled bowl and refrigerate while preparing the sauce.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sriracha until the honey is fully dissolved and the sauce is emulsified.
- Remove the tuna from the fridge. Pour the marinade over the fish and toss gently until evenly coated.
- Fold in the sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Gently fold in the cubed avocado last to maintain the shape of the cubes.
