Ingredients:

  • 32 oz frozen pre-cooked beef or turkey meatballs
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, bourbon, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Whisk vigorously until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is a smooth, deep mahogany color.
  2. Place the frozen meatballs into the slow cooker. Pour the bourbon glaze over the top, stirring gently with a spoon to ensure every meatball is fully submerged.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours or HIGH for 2 hours, until the sauce is bubbling and aromatic.
  4. Open the lid and give the meatballs one final toss to evenly distribute the thickened sauce.
  5. Set the slow cooker to the Warm setting to maintain serving temperature.
