Ingredients:
- 1 lb pizza dough, room temperature
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 oz provolone cheese, sliced or shredded
- 6 oz beef pepperoni, thinly sliced
- 6 oz smoked turkey, diced or thinly sliced
- ½ cup marinara sauce
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, use a rolling pin to flatten the 1 lb pizza dough into a large rectangle, approximately 12x16 inches.
- Spread a very thin layer of the ½ cup marinara sauce in the center of the dough, leaving a 2-inch border around the edges.
- Layer the 4 oz provolone cheese and 8 oz mozzarella cheese over the sauce to create a moisture barrier, then evenly distribute the 6 oz beef pepperoni and 6 oz smoked turkey on top.
- Carefully fold the sides of the dough over the filling and pinch the seams tightly to seal the edges.
- Cut 3-4 small slits in the top of the dough to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust is a deep golden brown gold.
- While the loaf is hot from the oven, whisk together the 2 tbsp melted unsalted butter, 1 clove minced garlic, 1 tsp dried parsley, and 1 pinch salt, then brush the mixture over the entire surface.
- Let the stromboli rest for 5 minutes before slicing into 4 portions to allow the cheese to set.
