Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.25 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 0.33 cup honey
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss chicken pieces until fully coated, shaking off excess flour.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken in a single layer and cook for 4-5 minutes until the bottom is deeply golden and rigid. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the exterior is crackling. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium. Sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Simmer for 1 minute until the mixture bubbles.
- Turn off heat. Whisk in cold butter cubes one by one until melted and creamy. Return chicken to the pan and toss for 1 minute to coat in the glaze. Serve immediately.
