Ingredients:

  • 2 Everything or Sesame Bagels
  • 4 oz (115g) Smoked salmon
  • 4 tbsp (60g) Full-fat cream cheese
  • 1 tsp Freshly chopped dill
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp Capers, drained
  • 1/4 Red onion, shaved paper-thin
  • 4-6 Fresh cucumber rounds
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven broiler to high. Slice your bagels in half and place them cut-side up on the baking sheet. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes until edges are golden-brown.
  2. In a small bowl, fold the fresh dill and lemon zest into the softened cream cheese until aerated and fluffy.
  3. Let the bagels cool for 60 seconds. Spread the cream cheese mixture on both halves of each bagel.
  4. Layer the shaved red onion into the cream cheese, top with ruffled smoked salmon ribbons, and finish with capers, cucumber rounds, and black pepper.
