Ingredients:
- 3 medium Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced (approx. 12 oz / 340g)
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced (75g)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (15g)
- 1 small jalapeño, deseeded and minced (approx. 1 oz / 28g)
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice (30ml)
- 1/2 tsp sea salt (3g)
- 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper (1g)
- 1 small clove garlic, minced (approx. 3g)
Instructions:
- Dice the Roma tomatoes into uniform 1/4-inch cubes, ensuring the watery seeds are removed to maintain a chunky consistency. Finely dice the red onion and mince the jalapeño.
- Combine the diced tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and minced garlic in a medium glass mixing bowl.
- Pour the fresh lime juice over the vegetable mixture and sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper.
- Gently fold the ingredients together using a spatula until evenly coated. Let the salsa sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the onions to soften.
