Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs Mixed heirloom tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Flaky sea salt
  • 1/2 cup Fresh basil leaves
  • 3 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Cracked black pepper
  • 1 small clove Garlic

Instructions:

  1. Arrange the sliced heirloom tomatoes on a large platter, overlapping them slightly in a colorful circle.
  2. Sprinkle half of the flaky sea salt evenly over the tomatoes and let them sit for 5 minutes to draw out excess moisture.
  3. In a small jar, combine the extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, minced garlic, and black pepper.
  4. Shake the jar vigorously for 30 seconds until the dressing is opaque and velvety.
  5. Pour the dressing evenly over the salted tomatoes.
  6. Scatter the torn basil leaves across the top and finish with the remaining pinch of flaky sea salt.
